Beth Henshaw lives and writes in Glen Canyon, drawing inspiration from the Colorado River, Lake Powell and the red rock desert.
She is currently pursuing an M.F.A. in creative writing with a concentration in nature writing from Western Colorado University.
Beth obtained a B.S. in Outdoor Experiential Education at Appalachian State University in 2014.


Beth has kept a journal since she was seven years old, carrying notebooks with her across the country. For the last 10 years, she has worked in the backcountry guiding backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, and hiking trips in Utah, Colorado, California, and North Carolina.
Beth is an outdoor adventure enthusiast and has posted regularly on her blog since 2020. She posts extensively about nature, travel, grief, and the life of a writer.
